The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge and understanding of the psychological and neurobiological impact of complex trauma resulting from child sexual abuse, sexual violence, and domestic abuse. The information was taken from the book, Counseling Skills for Working with Trauma by Christiane Sanderson. It explores how practitioners can work more effectively with trauma, and offers techniques and skills which can easily be integrated into different therapeutic models.
This course is based on a recent research report, 2012, issued by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. The report contains the most current knowledge and information of marijuana abuse and it’s harmful effects.
This course is based on the updated research guide by NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) and is intended to describe the treatment principles and research findings that have particular relevance to the criminal justice community and to treatment professionals working with drug abusing offenders.
